As the saying goes ” AGE HAS NO NUMBER ” , because today we meet up with Fitness beauty South African Fitness model #GymBunny fitness mommy aka Charmaine Rademayer , as she gets interviewed by MOLLMAG SOUTH AFRICA CEO , Arne Schreuder
WELCOME CHARMAINE ,
1. Tell us a bit about yourself , as we hear along the grapevine your a very successful fitness model athlete ” #FitnessMommy ” Charmaine ?
I’m a mother of 2 children and I started my fitness journey in late 2013 a year after my husband passed away. My first step onto the stage was to honor his memory as he always wanted me to compete. Needless to say the bug bit then and there , and I have entered 24 competitions in 4 years and have had a fair amount of success.
Winning some titles and placings in every other. I have attended 2 world championships and came second in IBFF Miss Universe Fitness over 40 , which was held in Italy and 4th at NABBA world champs in Ireland in the over 30 category. The modeling is a sense and way to document my progress and express myself in what Ive achieved thus far in my successful life , its something that was halted at 22 due to marriage and children and that I restarted at 43.
I am also competing in my next fitness comp , coming in May 2018 this year I’ll be entering my 25th competition. This has given me the privilege of working with some top photographers and showcasing that anything is possible at any age, it just takes hard work , focus ,dedication and the belief in yourself.

2. Being beautiful , fit and healthy at over 40 years old what does that mean to you ?
Being over 40 gives me the opportunity to inspire women of all ages. Many women put themselves last and take care of their children and partners above themselves.
“Theres nothing wrong with that, but you need to take care of YOU first. Being nearly 49 shows that anything is possible.”
3. Living healthy what is your healthy food meal plan on a day to day bases ?
Well, I eat 5-6 meals a day including protein and carbohydrates in each meal. When prepping for a competition it become quite a bit more scientific. But on average its 5 eggs whites and oats for breakfast, Chicken and pineapple mid morning, Chicken and basmati rice and cucumber for lunch. A pre – workout meal of oats or rice cakes with peanut butter and a whey shake and then fish or ostrich fillet and greens for dinner.
” AND ALWAYS REMEMBER to stay hydrated , water and loads of it.”
4. Share with us your fitness tip of advice for the day ?
Lets just say ………. Women are so scared to lift weights, because they don’t want to get bulky or look like a man. I lift as heavy as I possibly can and incorporate cardio for heart health. I train 5 TO 6 days a week and also always important to rest the body.
5. How did you feel when you got chosen to feature as our MOLLBABE model for the day ?
In all honesty I’ve been a fan of the MOLLMAG USA AND MOLLMAG SOUTH AFRICA IG pages for a long time, and it’s been one of my goals to be featured so I was honored when CEO Arne Schreuder approached me to be asked to submit.
I came into modeling purely by accident based on my success in my competing and fitness career. I think as a woman of 48 I can show many women that anything is possible at any age and really live up to that motto that ” AGE HAS NO NUMBER. “
6. What’s the next big step for you as a fitness model in your career ?
