Schalee its time to introduce yourself to our follower’s fans and readers today, tell us a bit about yourself, where you from and what you do for a living?
Good day ya’ll…I am from Dallas Texas USA I am a full-time college student currently working on my bachelor’s degree in communications with a double major in public relations and advertising. I model full time and I am also trying to break into the acting scene to kick-start my acting career.
Modeling is a difficult industry to succeed in, how did you get into the it?
I started by working with a local photographer who approached me via Instagram out of the blue in January of 2019 and it took off from there and I fell in love with it.
There are many photographers out there with different levels of experience shooting a variety of genres, what do you look for in a photographer and which genre do you prefer?
I like to do all genres and I love a photographer whom can challenge me and help me grow. photographers who help to give direction when I shoot with them, it’s a huge help and I love constructive criticism as it helps me to work on myself and critique myself.
Tell us what do you do to prepare for that all-important photo shoot on the day, what’s your routine?
I make sure I have at least 10 looks to bring, 2 or 3 different pairs of shoes, I bring extra makeup and hair tools. I do my own makeup and hair and that helps cut some costs. I make sure to stick to a good diet and workout routine and make sure I have a good skin tone and that my look is what the photographer prefers.
“Everyone is different so I always go over this with the photographer prior to a shoot so that I make sure to come prepared.“
How does it feel to be a MOLLBABE feature today?
I’m truly overwhelmed with joy and all smiles as I truly had fun doing this poolside swimwear shoot and to get it published in MOLLMAG SOUTH AFRICA today is an achievement on its own to be internationally recognized so so pleased…
“And hopefully the fans and readers will love my look and SWEET TEXAS SMILE … thank you so much”
Keeping fit physically and mentally is a key factor in the modeling industry, what’s your secret… time to share?
“I just try to treat my body like it is a temple in a way.” – I wouldn’t want my car, home, dog, etc. to look bad so why would I do things to myself to look bad. I eat healthy, have a strict beauty regimen and exercise at least 3 times a week.
What advice can you share to up and coming future models?
Be comfortable in your own skin, criticism should be taken seriously but not to an extreme. Be prepared for not everyone to like what you’re doing. But, if it feels right, follow your dreams. Sacrifice what you have to but don’t forget your end goal.
