All about Leather today and also bringing a new face to our brand and part of the MOLLMAG FAMILY, today we introduce to you all the beautiful and unique beauty of Homegrown South Africa aka Nadia Snyman to our modeling family. “So let’s Leather Up”

Nadia is relatively a new face in the modeling industry and we are proud to showcase her unique beauty and be the platform for what she believes in and stand for as a woman in today’s society. All the way from PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA, Nadia is a lady that wants to portray a more natural, almost no-filter, kind of image to the world.. in that said and we quote her saying,

“I hope to portray a more natural image and a vibe that gives other young women the courage to be comfortable with who they are and how they look.”

Let’s join our CEO Arne Schreuder as he sat down in interview with Nadia, to give us a in depth look in what Nadia is all about in today’s MOLLMAGSA OCTOBER MONTH feature!!

Welcome Nadia and congrats to your very first model feature with us today for MOLLMAGSA that’s part of our OCTOBER MONTH features, how does it feel to be part of the MOLLMAGSA FAMILY?

“I feel so privileged to be joining the MOLLMAGSA family!

As a relatively new face in the industry, I am so excited about the opportunity to introduce myself and get my name out there a bit more.

Please introduce yourself to us and our readers and fans where do you reside from and what make you being you in the journey you had till today Nadia?

I am a 27-year-old B.Eng. Metallurgical Engineer. I did my Bachelor’s degree at Tuks University in PRETORIA (SOUTH AFRICA). I have been in the Engineering industry for five years now. I have been in the photographic modelling industry for the past 6 months now, part time, and I am absolutely loving it.

“As a little girl I always wanted to be pretty and look pretty etc. and I think getting all dressed up for a photo shoot is kind of the adult version of that.”

I was born and raised in Pretoria and went to Hoërskool Wonderboom (yay Wonnies!). I have had my fair share of ups and downs but I am so grateful for where I am and who I am today.

I think if there is one thing that life has taught me, and that really makes me, me, it is probably that I never back down and I never quit. I have a tattoo of a Phoenix on my left wrist with the text “And still I rise”. I don’t think there are any better words to describe me.

Being new to the modeling industry yourself what would you say describes your vision you want to portray to the world out there Nadia?

The main thing I want to portray to the world, and mainly the young girls out there, is that nobody is perfect. We all have different looks and body shapes etc. and the media has brain washed young women to want to look a certain way.

“I hope to portray a more natural image and a vibe that gives other young women the courage to be comfortable with who they are and how they look.”

What I have realized is that you will always be “too fat” or “too thin” if you look at the standards we have been brainwashed to believe.

So, I really hope to send out “it’s okay to be whoever you are and to have the body you have” vibes. Being healthy is so much more important than fitting into a certain stereotype look.

Nadia with this being your first feature with us today with the editorial you did alongside Gawie from PHOTOSTUDIO78, tell us what is it that makes Photographer Gawie so special in the work he does, explain in your own words?

I really enjoyed working with Gawie, I could see that he has a passion for photography and the shoot was fun and light-hearted.

I feel that when the photographer is comfortable and loves what he does it is so much easier for the model to be relaxed as well. And obviously his photos are divine. I have worked with a number of photographers by now, all of which were excellent I must say (I have been spoiled), but still one of my favorites.

This October month our theme and topic of discussion is ” Beauty of Nature” and Being One with Nature” … what does this mean to you personally Nadia please explain in your own words?

I have always loved nature, there is nothing quite like being out in nature, I think it’s the best place to calm one’s mind.

As I said previously, I am hoping to portray a more natural, almost no-filter, kind of image to the world with my modelling; that may also fit into the theme,

FURTHERMOREme and a close friend of mine have recently been looking into vegan eating plans and lifestyles. Initially it was mainly for the health benefits, but the more documentaries we watched on animal food products and how some of the animals are treated the more it became less about health and more about the animals.

I would say I am about 80% vegan now. I still have a piece of meat/diary here and there but it is getting less and less. “So far, I feel much healthier and I have so much more energy, it’s almost unbelievable!”

I would also like to eventually use my social media presence to become a “vegan influencer”. I fully believe in the “each to their own” with regards to most things in life, and also with regards to being vegan or not. But I do believe that people aren’t fully aware of exactly how bad it is out there for these animals.

What is it that’s so captivating about our brand and image of MOLLMAG SOUTH AFRICA that you wanted to be featured with us Nadia?

I really enjoy the magazine and the features!!!

“I think the brand does well in diversifying the content which suits my vision, to portray a different and more natural vibe, very well.”

IN YOUR OWN WORDS WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT WILL NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE AND FASHION? – Manners, respect and loyalty.

MOST IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON LEARNED THUS FAR? – Never quit. Never give up. It’s never as bad as it seems initially. And you can keep going even if you are 100% convinced that you can’t, the world will keep turning and you will go on.

WHO INSPIRES YOU TO BE A WOMAN OF INSPIRATION IN TODAY’S LIFE AND WORLD WE LIVE IN TODAY AND WHY? –  My mom, because

We have been very close since I can remember, there was a time when it was just me and her against the world. She raised me to be a strong woman and taught me so many things.

There’s a quote that says “My identity rests solely on this, I am my mother’s daughter”. And that says it all.
